This video shows the complete path, from JSON upload to final creation of the imported board.
Many teams arrive with real Trello structure, and the biggest blocker is rebuilding everything from scratch.
This flow removes that friction: lists, cards, labels, due dates, and checklist data are moved in one validated step.
The goal of this release is practical: clear, safe, and predictable migration so teams can execute immediately.
Step 1
Go to the board you want to migrate and prepare it as your source.
Step 2
Download the board JSON export from Trello.
Step 3
From the boards screen, start creating a new board in the target workspace.
Step 4
Choose the exported file and let the system validate format and limits automatically.
Step 5
Review lists, cards, labels, due dates, and checklist data before confirming.
Step 6
Once imported, continue execution without rebuilding your board from scratch.
Invalid JSON or incompatible export structure
Re-export the board from Trello and ensure the file remains plain JSON.
List, card, or label limits exceeded
Split content into multiple boards and import in smaller batches.
Normalized payload exceeds allowed size
Trim non-essential historical data or migrate in staged chunks.
Can I rename the imported board?
During import, the name is taken from the JSON name field. You can rename the board later in settings.
Are due dates and checklists preserved?
Yes. Valid due dates and supported checklist items are imported automatically.
Does this impact my existing boards?
No. The import creates a new board in the selected workspace.
Start with one active board, validate the result with your team, and scale migration in phases.
